Introduction:
Camptothecin, is a minor alkaloid isolated from leaf of Camptotheca acuminata Decne (a tree native to mainland China). It is the essential intermediate of many anticancers, such as 7-ethyl-camptothecin, 7-Ethyl-10-hydroxycamptothecin, 9-Nitro-10-hydroxy-20(s)-camptothecin
9-Amino-Camptothecin, 10-hydroxycamptothecinum etc.
Soluble in methanol, chloroform, acetonitrile; insoluble in water, Its sodium salt is soluble in water, its organic solution has blue fluorescence.

Functions:
